Word of the Year - G R A C E

Mar 1, 2017

As you may have saw in my 2017 Intentions post - GRACE is my focus word for 2017.

Grace is a word that has a lot of layers of meanings and I think it's easy to view it a few ways. This is a look at my take on the word + concept.

G R A C E
in my eyes
+ cutting yourself slack
+ not letting your stress overwhelm you, but instead offering it up to God
+ a sense of peace or calm
+ treating others with respect and in a polite fashion
+ letting yourself be human and not perfect

G R A C E
in quotes
+ Hold yourself and those you love to a more life-giving standard, and allow that grace to seep into your days, your family and your heart. - Emily Ley
+ I do not at all understand the mystery of grace - only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us. - Anne Lamott

 G R A C E
in bible verses
+ For it is by grace you have been saved through faith - and this not from yourselves it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. - Eph 2:8-9
+ Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.- John 1:16
+ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. - 2 Cor. 9:8
