5 to Try -- May

May 4, 2017

 simple but significant scenery:

Each month I compile a list of five various things I recommend trying for the month -- These include anything from DIYs, book recommendations, sips, recipes, trends, and new restaurants or events for St. Louis locals. Check out previous suggestions too!
So, let's get to it ---

1. Attend Sauce's Food Truck Friday
When : May 12, 4-8 pm
A perfect (family friendly) outdoor park event with food trucks and live music. Pack a blanket or chairs, a cooler and plan to have one heck of an evening. Here is the food truck line up.

2. Plant an herb garden
Have a few favorite herbs you like to cook with or toss into cocktails? Why not plant your own?! I typically plant each in separate pots, but this year I may do one big planter of multiple herbs. My picks - lavender, pineapple sage, basil and mint.
bonus : gift one for Mother's Day

3. Attend Feast TV Taste & See
When : May 18th, 7 pm
$15 for a fun outting in a chic setting. Lots of samples of eats + sips. I highly recommend. It's a continuous Summer event too!  I went last May.

4. Send some snail mail
We all love receiving mail, right? So, take some time to send out some notes to friends this month. My favorite spots to buy cards are Trader Joe's ($1) or Marshall's. fun options at low prices.

5. Have an outdoor dinner or picnic
How captivating does that dock picnic above look?! Head to a free, outdoor concert and pack a blanket + snacks. Or create your own spontaneous backyard picnic for a girls night or date night. These cans of wine from Trader Joe's would be perfect picnic sidekicks!

Any fun plans up your sleeve this month? I would love to hear your happenings or suggestions!
