Hey, May

May 1, 2018

Hey, May!
I find it so refreshing to turn the page on a new month - something about seeing that "1" on the calendar leaves me feeling motivated!
Here lately I add my monthly line-up into my first Friday Best post of the month, but I decided I wanted to pop in today and switch things up a bit. This month is a pretty big one - so, let's chat about monthly plans + five things to try!

May Plans
+ Cinco de Mayo Fiesta -- us bridesmaids are throwing Glime Couples Shower, Cinco style
+ Natalie's Family Shower -- I have two showers for Natalie this month, this one is hosted by her mom & sister
+ Walk Club -- Emily and I were chatting on our last walk and this idea was born, a monthly walk + brunch club of sorts. Looking forward to it.
+ Mother's Day -- looking forward to family gatherings to celebrate my Mom and future Mother-In-Law
+ Our 1st Wedding Shower - thrown by the Cattleman's family - looking forward to this!!
+ Memorial Day Weekend
+ Our 2nd (dating) Anniversary -- We went to the Indiana Dunes to celebrate last year. This year will likely be a local date night.
+ packing & packing & packing + moving [back to my roots] -- exciting stuff!!!

 Five to Try
1. Make one recipe from Magnolia Table - I received this as a gift and want to try out a recipe this month!
2. Sip Rosé - I'll be sure to have a bottle in stock at the house all month - if you're in the St. Louis area, you can even head to the all day event in the Central West End
3. Pack a picnic- the weather is great for this right now.. head to a park, the backyard, the farm..wherever!
4. Try a new brewery - I have my eye on Good News Brewery here in O'Fallon, MO
5. Check in on your 2018 goals...the year is hitting the halfway point- how are you doing?
For me - I have been actively wedding planning & we have some ideas for our honeymoon and I sold my house! So, doing good on the bulk of my intentions!

Anything new you plan to try this month? I'd love to hear what's on your agenda & bucket list!!

  2. I love this post. I used to love doing seasonal goal posts, but maybe I'll start doing monthly ones? All your May festivities sound so fun! And I love the idea of a walking club--genius. Some people at work are supposed to be starting one as the weather picks up and I really hope that actually happens. Can't wait to see pics from your bridal shower too!

I definitely need to check in on my 2018 goals...need to remember where I wrote those down--ha! Hope that's not an indication of how the goals themselves are going.

    1. Yea, a fun month ahead. I think seasonal could be easier to keep up with than monthly, that's for sure! Ha, well your year sounds productive with the house! I kept my goals realistic since I knew wedding + a move would take up the majority of my time. Exciting year!
