Best of January - Florals, farm growth, baby cuddles & tv shows.

Feb 2, 2019

Rolling right into February.. I for one loved how long, cozy and slow January was. It was a nice change of pace after the holiday hustle. Here in Missouri we got lots of snow & in turn, a number of the things we had on our agenda got bumped to February. One event is today - a belated Christmas event + Groundhog day event with my Dad's side. We like to celebrate Groundhog day with a pancake and sausage event - ha. So, basically we are just having a big ol family gathering later today and I can't wait.
Since I didn't post any Friday Best posts this month, I thought I'd do a big ol best of January post. Like I said, things have been slow, but there are still plenty of moments I want to capture. So, here we go--
Florals - I love this arrangement that Ozark Mountain Flower Truck put together as a galentine's bundle. I'm a big fan of thistle and quite a few of the florals in this arrangement were used in my wedding bouquet. A nice pop of color in the dead of Winter.

Farm Growth - Our sheep, Millie, had a baby. I've yet to be able to capture a good pic, but it's an adorable female lamb. She had her on Jan.28.19.

Baby George - My friend Emily's little boy, George, was born happy & healthy on Jan 18th. I had to wait for a cold I was battling to pass, but once it did, I went and visited and got to love on little mr. chill.

Quote - Your competition isn't other people. Your competition is your procrastination. Your ego. The unhealthy food you're consuming, the knowledge you neglect. The negative behavior you're nurturing & your lack of creativity. Compete against that.
Using this as a motto to lack back on for my goal to have growth with my mindset.

Warby Parker- I got not one, but two, at home try-on boxes because I'm indecisive like that. I ultimately decided on the Barnett frames, shown below. But was very close to buying circle frames - the Jane or Percey.

TV Shows - This month I started watching A Million Little Things via Hulu+ to get caught up...and wow, is that captivating!!! I highly recommend this series. An engaging plotline & characters you want to connect with. I also watched Season 5 of Grace & Frankie. I just love the funny humor of this show. Easy to watch and full of laughs.

Eric Church - We rounded out this month with Eric Church's Double Down tour. As usual, he does not disappoint. 3+ hours of Eric. We had a good time with my brother & his girlfriend at the show!

Favorite Jan Buys-

There you have it. The best of the first month of 2019 for me!

  1. That quote really hit me! The whole procrastination thing is my problem and really need to work on that! And I watched the first two seasons of Grace and Frankie but then just stopped... gonna add that to my list again...

  2. OH that quote. OK, yes. Definitely writing that one down. My future MIL wants me to start watching A Million Little Things immediately haha. She loves it. And I need to continue watching Grace & Frankie. I loved it when it initially came out. They were both on Ellen recently and were hysterical.
